Principal's Corner
Welcome to Central Elementary School
Dear CES Community,
I have a long history at CES, beginning when my older son began kindergarten here in August 2001. My younger son followed him a few years later, and I joined the CES staff in August 2010 as the school librarian. After spending six years in the library, I moved into a classroom teaching position, first in 4th grade, then kindergarten, and then in second grade.
Two years ago, in August 2023, I became an instructional coach for the district, working in all the WNESU elementary schools. In that role, I was able to witness the difference a principal can make in the operation of a school and in the energy and school climate within a school building. I have spent the last year, in addition to my job as instructional coach, completing a principal internship program through the Upper Valley Educators Institute, and I am thrilled to be back at CES as principal.
I look forward to a wonderful year ahead, working closely with all of you to build on the inclusive community here at Central and to provide an excellent elementary education for your children.
